The pepper vines entwine the ‘shade-trees’ of the coffee estate, Chikkanahalli, in Coorg. The fresh, green pepper are picked carefully and pickled in brine, a solution of water, salt and vinegar.
With a unique zesty flavour, it can be used to enliven steak, chicken, pork, fish, toast, cream sauces and dips, soups, soft cheeses, vegetables, curries and olives.
