Fluffy, tasty pancakes for you... with this astoundingly easy recipe!

We sometimes tend to think that making our own pancake batter is difficult ... or even worse, it could turn out to be a disaster! So more often than not, we end up picking a pancake mix off the shelf.
After a couple of tries with various recipes and customizing it to the ingredients available here in India, we have arrived at this astoundingly easy recipe that makes tasty, fluffy pancakes!

Wet ingredients:

Milk - ¾ cup

Vinegar – 1 tbsp

Butter – 2 tbsp

Egg - 1

Dry ingredients:

Refined flour (Maida) – 1 cup.

Tip: To make it wholesome and nutritious, substitute a part or whole of the refined flour (maida) with whole wheat flour (Atta). This would change the texture of the pancakes.

Sugar – 2 tbsp

Baking powder – 1 tsp

Baking soda – ½ tsp

Salt – ¼ tsp

  1. Combine ½ cup milk and 1 tbsp vinegar. Set aside.
  2. Slightly heat ¼ cup milk and add the butter. (This is for the butter to melt). Add this to the milk and vinegar mixture.
  3. Beat the egg into the above mix.
  4. Mix all the dry ingredients into another bowl and gradually add it to the above wet mixture, using a whisk.

And voila... the fluffy pancake batter is ready!

Makes approximately 10 pancakes.
